OK- so I knew better, I really really knew better but I did it anyway....stepped on those scales morning. How can an inanimate object cause so much emotional grief? It is enough to make a good girl want to say a few "not so nice" words.
No, my weight wasn't up, but it wasn't down the 10 lbs I expected it to be either. I mean c'mon, it has been TWO days. Two days of eating right and pushing the mega stroller up a mountain.
all kidding aside- I know it is going to take time and there are going to be ups and downs (though I hope they are mostly downs-if you know what I mean). It is amazing how slow time seems to move when you are losing weight and how fast it zooms with everything else.

  1. Kristi, I did get a good chuckle out of his comment about no shape. Kids sure say the darndest things, don't they. Well, I'm here to give you a big hoorah!!! Good for you on setting your goals. And I think if you know other people are checking in on you that you will have the drive to keep it up. What ever helps you get to your goal is best. And it isn't about pleasing other people, it is making your own self happy. I think every woman has a though during the day that they would like to change something on them. It probably lies on my mind more now than ever. I have the dreaded "I have to lose weight before my 10 year reunion" stage going on now. It is in October and I say every morning, i should have got up early and exercised but I don't. Why is that. When I get there in October I will be saying....gosh If I had only done 100 situps a day for the past 3 months, it really could have made a difference. So maybe if I continue to read your blog it will give me the drive to get off my butt :O) I look forward to your future post! Once I get into my new post I would love to start exercising with you! Kristen :O)

  2. I say we throw away our scales and just try to get healty. I sure do think the devil loves when we get on the scales in the morning because what do we feel when we do it. Shame, doubt, anger, insecure, etc... he loves when we do that to ourselves.
