my BIG deal yesterday

If any of you checked out the websites I posted, you may have seen the Gillette razor/Oil of Olay deal at Target.
I had the coupons and I also had a $5 gift card from a Quaker Oatmeal deal last week.
I bought:     3 Venus Spa razors- $6.99 each(the sale price wasn't listed and it was tagged 8.64)
1 Gillette razor- 6.99 (also listed as 8.64)
3 Oil of Olay bath washes- 5.50 each

I used: 3-$2 off coupons for the Venus razors
1-$4 off coupon for the Gillette razor
3- buy one Venus razor get one Oil of Olay bath wash free

My total cost was-$44.46 + tax
after my coupons and $5 gift card, my cost was $12.96!!!
 but it gets better:
I got $15 back in gift cards(a $5 for every two razors I bought and a $5 for buying 3 Oil of Olay body washes)  Also: Oil of Olay has a rebate going on and I can send in for a $15 rebate for buying 3 body washes.  So I actually made a little money. :)

If you do any Target deals make sure you scan everything under their scanners in the store.  Sometimes it can be confusing what is qualified and what is not.  If you scan it, it will tell you if it qualifies for a $5 gift card.  It will also tell you the accurate price.

to  make yesterday even better, I found some t-shirts on sale for Holly- 2 were $1 each and one was .75.---very cool!

  1. kristi, I've seen this deal but I can't understand why you need to purchase the Gillette razor. Can you explain it to me?

  2. you get a $5 gift card with every 3 Oil of Olay body washes.(and also a $15 rebate- if you mail a form in)
you get a $5 gift card with every two of the Venus or Gillette razors.
You have to buy 3 Venus razors to get the 3 Oil of Olay free(the coupon is buy a Venus razor, get Oil of Olay free)
In order to get the third $5 gift card you would need to buy one more razor. The Gillette razor has a $4 coupon and the Venus only has a $2 coupon. You could buy another Venus, but you save 2 more dollars buying a Gillette.
I'm not very good at explaining stuff, so if it doesn't make sense, please let me know. That is an area I really need to work on. :)
